A man was nabbed for illegal fishing in an operation conducted by authorities from Cuyo Police Station on Saturday, August 31 at Barangay Catadman, Cuyo, Palawan.
The police report identified the suspect as Benjie Galang, 38, married, and a resident of Barangay Catadman, Cuyo, Palawan.
The suspect was arrested in violation of RA 8550, Section 88, otherwise known as “Fishing Through Explosives, Noxious or Poisinous Substance, and/or Electricity” issued by Judge Ambrosio de Luna of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 51 on February 6, 2019.
The suspect is now under the custody of Cuyo Municipal Police Station and will soon be turned-over to the issuing court for proper disposition.
