A total of P1,420,500 was given to all elderly beneficiaries, which covers their local pension for the months of January through June 2022.

The payout was made possible by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) under the Local Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens program through the directive of Palawan Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates.

The program aims to provide a monthly pension of P250 to all indigent elderly in Palawan who are 60 years old and above.

The measure is a result of the continuous aid from the Palawan Government, PSWDO and Federation of Senior Citizens Association of Palawan (FSCAP) which is inclined to focus on helping indigent senior citizens in the province to support their medical and food needs.
