Matapos ang dalawang araw na seminar workshop inaasahang lalo pang magiging epektibo ang pagganap sa kanilang mga responsibilidad ang bumubuo ng Gender and Development Office ng Palawan.

Nilayon ng seminar workshop na mabuo ang GAD Agenda, kaakibat ang mga isyu at posibleng sulosyon sa ilang mga topikong pangkomunidad isyu hinggil sa pangangailangan ng mga kababaihan, kalalakihan, LGBTQ++ community, at iba pang marginalized groups sa lalawigan.

Bukod dito tinalakay din dito ang paggawa ng GAD plan at budget na naglalaman ng mga programa, proyekto, at aktibidad na magbibigay-solusyon sa mga natukoy na GAD related-issues/concerns.

 

Binigyang inspirasyon ng ama ng lalawigan, Gobernador Victorino Dennis M. Socrates ang mga partisipante kasabay ngpagbibigay nito ng diin sa kalahagahan ng good governance sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa, proyekto, at aktibidad na may kaugnayan sa mga isyung hinggil sa GAD.

 

Sinabi ni Socrates, batay sa nakalap ng Palawan Daily, “sa pagtungo sa kabutihang panlahat ay dapat pinatutuunan ng pansin ng pamahalaan ang pairalin ang katarungan at dapat pairalin ang good government na may mga katangian na transparency, accountability, rule of law, at participation.”

 

Table tennis tournament sa Puerto Princesa, isasagawa

 

Inaasahang lalahukan ng mahigit sa isang daang manlalaro ng table tennis ang nakatakdang apat na araw na torneo sa Balayong Peoples Park ng Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.

 

Nabatid ng Palawan Daily, batay sa ipinalabas na pahayag ni Atty. Gregorio “Rocly” Austria, ang kasalukuyang City Sports Director, na hindi lamang sa pagkakataong ito magiging lugar ang Puerto Princesa ng malaking paligsahan bagkus ito ay maaaring panimula pa lamang at marami pang darating na aktibidad.

 

Bukod dito, nagpaabot din ng suporta ang Palawan State University upang siyang magsisilbing billeting venue ng mga manlalaro mula ika-22 hanggang 26 ng Pebrero.

 

Kumpiyansa naman ang Puerto Princesa na magbibigay karangalan ang tatlong kinatawan ng siyudad na kung saan ang sinumang magwawagi sa tournament ay magiging kinatawan ng bansa sa Southeast Asian Games (SEAGAMES).

 

Ipinahayag ni Francis Nemenzo, Presidente ng Region IV-B ng Philippine Table Tennis Federation Incorporated sa panayam ng City Information Office personnel malaki ang potensiyal ng lungsod na mapili na pagdausan ng malalaking event ng larong pingpong o table tennis dahil kumpleto ang mga kagamitan at maayos ang pasilidad.

 

Ayon kay Nemenzo, “when I was in Batang Pinoy napag-usapan na ito kaya naisip ka na mayroon tayong bagong indoor game facility sa Puerto Princesa at pinropose ko. Noong binisita nila dito positive ang feedback nila kaya ito ang kanilang pinili para sa national tournament. We are expecting na maliban sa mga players na sasali ay marami ang dadagsa kasama nila para mapanood ang laro at mabisita ang lungsod.”
