Ilang barangay sa El Nido, Palawan, binaha dahil sa ilang araw na pag-ulan

Ang mga bahayan sa isang barangay sa El Nido ay lubog sa baha. Larawan kuha ng Provincial Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.

Kinumpirma ng lokal na pamahalaan ng El Nido na maraming barangay ang binaha dahil sa halos tatlong araw na tuloy-tuloy na buhos ng ulan.

Bunsod nito, ilang pamilya rin ang inilikas mula sa Bucana, Apurawan, Masagana, at Villa Libertad, bagamat agad ring bumalik ang mga ito sa kani-kanilang mga tahanan nang humupa na ang baha.

Agad ding nagpadala ng response team ang Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)- El Nido sa Barangay New Ibajay na bahagyang binaha kung saan tinatayang umaabot sa 60 pamilya ang apektado.

Naapektuhan din ng walang humpay na pag-ulan ang biyahe ng mga turista, kung saan marami sa mga ito ang stranded habang nasa kanilang pamamasyal pero natiyak namang nasa maayos nang kalagayan matapos rumisponde ang PCG.

Ayon sa ulat ng Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), may bumigay na water irrigation sa Barangay Barotuan, dalawang bahay, isang bangka ang inanod sa Calitang, Barangay Bucana, habang ilang kalsada naman ang hindi madaanan partikular na sa pagitan ng Barangay Sibaltan at San Fernando.

Nagpapatuloy ang clearing operations ang mga awtoridad sa mga kalsada upang agad madaanan. Nagpadala na rin ng mga food packs ang PDRRMO at Rescue 167 ng pamahalaang panlalawigan upang ipamahagi sa mga pamilyang naapektuhan.

Samantala, isinailalim na sa state of calamity ang bayan ng El Nido, matapos magdeklara sa pamamagitan ng isang resolusyon Sangguniang Bayan kasunod ng naging rekomendasyon ni Municipal Mayor Nieves Rosento at ng Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO). (EM/AJA/PDN)
