LGU-Brooke’s Point tumanggap ng 50 E-Trike mula sa DOE

Tumanggap ng 50 yunit ng e-trike ang lokal na pamahalaang bayan ng Brooke’s Point mula sa Department of Energy (DOE) kamakalawa.

Ayon kay Mayor Maryjean D. Feliciano, dahil sa pagsusumikap ng kanyang administrasyon sa pagprotekta ng kalikasan mula sa mga mapang-abuso at mapanirang industriya tulad ng pagmimina, ay umaani ito ng maraming pagpapala mula sa Maykapal na siyang gumawa nito.

Ilan aniya sa mga biyayang natanggap ng Bayan ng Brooke’s Point ay ang pagkakapili nito bilang capital ng itatatag na Palawan del Sur province at ang pagkakapili din nito bilang pilot area ng Urban Green City sa buong lalawigan kung kaya’t naging benepisyaryo ito ng Energy Efficient Vehicles Project o “E-Trike Project” ng DOE.

Dagdag pa ni Mayor Feliciano, umaabot sa mahigit P22 milyon ang kabuuhang halaga ng 50 e-trike dahil ang presyo ng bawat isa nito ay nasa P455,000. Wala rin aniyang monetary counterpart ang hiningi ng DOE mula sa bayan ng Brooke’s Point.

Inaasahang maiuuwi ito sa bayan ng Brooke’s Point sa susunod na buwan matapos maproseso at maisumite ang lahat ng papeles na kinakailangan ng DOE, ayon pa sa Alkalde.

Malaki aniya ang maitutulong nito sa adhikain ng kanyang administrasyon sa pagprotekta ng kalikasan dahil ang mga e-trike ay hindi maingay at hindi rin nagbubuga ng usok.

Mga piling indibiduwal naman mula sa iba’t-ibang Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) sa nasabing bayan ang masuwerteng mabibiyayaan ng e-trike. (OCJ/PIA-MIMAROPA, Palawan)
