Mahigit sa 300 boluntaryo ang nakiisa sa isinagawang coastal clean-up at Scubasurero o underwater clean-up dive sa baybayin ng El Nido noong Mayo 29, 2025, bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Ocean Month.

Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng Provincial Government–Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) katuwang ang Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) ng El Nido. Nilinis ng mga volunteer ang dalampasigan at bahagi ng ilalim ng dagat upang mabawasan ang basura sa karagatan.

Kabilang sa mga lumahok ay mga kawani ng pamahalaan, lokal na residente, divers, at kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang organisasyon.
Sa parehong araw, inilunsad din ang province-wide search para sa “Bayani ng Karagatan,” isang pagkilala sa mga natatanging fisherfolk organizations sa Palawan na may mahalagang ambag sa pangangalaga ng yamang-dagat.

Ayon sa PG-ENRO, layunin ng programa na palakasin ang kamalayan ng publiko at hikayatin ang mas maraming mamamayan na makibahagi sa pangangalaga sa kalikasan sa pamamagitan ng mga sustainable practices gaya ng tamang pagtatapon ng basura at responsableng pangingisda.
