The Palawan Provincial Government is making waves in the realm of cooperative support, garnering awards for their dedication and impactful programs.

In a recent recognition ceremony held on October 18 in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) bestowed upon them the honor of being the 2023 Regional Winner for Outstanding Local Government Unit (LGU).

This award signifies the result of their continuous commitment to the advancement of local cooperatives through an array of development programs and innovative initiatives.

Adding to their list of achievements, the Palawan Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) was also acknowledged as the Most Outstanding Local Cooperative Development Office in the entire MIMAROPA region.
Gina Socrates, the PCD Officer, expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am truly grateful to the Provincial Government of Palawan for the generous support to all the cooperative programs/projects and to everyone who has played a role in helping us achieve these awards and recognition. May the Lord continue to bless and sustain us to do more for others.”

These awards come on the heels of previous recognition by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) for the Palawan Provincial Government’s continuous provision of financial support, livelihood programs, and training initiatives.

These contributions have significantly fortified local cooperatives and contributed to the broader societal development of Palawan.
