Palawan has recently opened its tourism doors for 157 visa free countries on Thursday, February 10.

Following this, the Palawan Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) headed by Provincial Tourism Officer Maribel Buni are encouraging foreign and domestic tourists to only transact and coordinate their travels and itinerary with Department of Tourism (DOT)-accredited agencies in Palawan.

Meanwhile, based on IATF Resolution 160-B, all foreign nationals that wished to travel into the country should comply with the following documents:

Acceptable proof of vaccination – A negative RT PCR test taken within 48 hours before the date and time of departure from the country of origin or first port of embarkation in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding lay-overs from their return journey

Valid tickets for their return journey to the port of origin or next port of destination not later than thirty (30) days from date of arrival in the Philippines

Passports valid for at least six (6) months at the time of arrival to the Philippines, and

Travel insurance for COVID-19 treatment costs from reputed insurers, with a minimum coverage of USD 35,000 for the duration of their stay in the Philippines

DOT strictly allows only fully vaccinated foreign tourists to travel to the country, however, foreign kids below 12 years old can be allowed only if they travel with their fully vaccinated parents.
