A team of pediatric cardiologists from the National Children’s Hospital arrived in Palawan to conduct a free “Pedia Cardio Screening Mission” in the Narra Medicare Hospital and the Ospital ng Palawan.
Their team, which was led by Dr. Louisa Joan Go, paid a courtesy visit to the Palawan Provincial Building today, April 17.
They were welcomed by Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Joshua Bolusa, Provincial Information Officer Atty. Christian Jay Cojamco, and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Faye Erika Labrador.
The pediatric cardiologists are scheduled to conduct the said screening mission for kids in Narra today and at the Ospital ng Palawan tomorrow, April 18.
The screening mission will offer services such as free screening, 2D echo, and free consultation to cardiology patients in the said hospitals.
The screening mission was made possible through the combined efforts of non-government organizations based in Manila and the Department of Health (DOH).
The doctors are expected to work closely with Palawan medical professionals, including nurses and healthcare providers. This collaborative approach can lead to more effective and efficient care and help build stronger healthcare systems in the communities where the screening mission will be conducted.
