The provincial government of Palawan is still continuing its service of burial assistance through the PAG-ASA Program, which is under the Community Affairs Division (CAD), despite the Holy Week observation.
The recipients of the burial assistance are relieved of their financial burden by receiving free embalming, free caskets, and free transportation to repatriate their loved ones to their respective barangays.
Victor Tomas Timbancaya, supervisory administrative officer for CAD, said his office is ready to help anyone in need despite continuing to observe Holy Week.
Aside from the CAD Office located in the Provincial Capitol, they also have ten operation centers of the PAG-ASA Program with Rescue 165 located in the towns of Aborlan, Narra, Quezon, Brookes Point, Roxas, Taytay, Dumaran, El Nido, Rizal, and Sofronio Española.
CAD has also been tying up with local government units (LGUs) to continually provide services and assistance to those who are in need of an ambulance for emergencies involving their patients.

With an Executive Order signed by Palawan Governor Jose Chaves Alvarez in February 2014, the PAG-ASA Program was established.
Anyone interested in availing themselves of the services can go directly to the CAD office at the Provincial Capitol or contact their office numbers at 0930-251-3000 or 0930-089-9204.
