Resorts at establishments sa El Nido, kailangan na ng STP bago bibigyan ng permit

Nasa 20% pa lamang ang kabuoang nakakonektang resorts at mga establisyemento sa bayan ng El Nido  na mayroong Solid Waste Treatment Plant (STP).

Ang STP ay isang pamamaraan upang masolusyonan ang problema na kinakaharap kaugnay sa coliform bacteria sa buong bayan.

Nasa ordinansa kasi na ang lahat ng establishment at resorts ay hindi makakapag-renew ng mayor’s permit kapag wala pang STP.  Ngunit inaasahang na sa susunod na taon pa ito maipapatupad dahil sa tapos na ang renewal ng mga mayor’s permit sa ngayon.

 

Ayon kay Engr. John Gil Ynzon, Assistant Provincial Economic Enterprise Development Authority head ng Provincial Government, at siya ring in-charge sa STP ng El Nido at Palawan Water, nasa higit-kumulang 20% pa lng ang nagpa-connect ng STP sa kategorya ng mga resorts at establisyemento, habang sa mga residential ay nasa 10% pa lamang.

 

“Residentials sa bayan ng El Nido talaga rin malakas ang impact nila with regard to waste water discharge pero still ang local government ng El Nido ang magreresolba, iniinda kasi ng mga residente doon ang bayarin,” ani Ynzon.

 

Samantala, dagdag niya, kung sakaling ang lahat ng kabahayan at establisyemento sa El Nido ay magpapakonekta ng STP,  malaking tulong naman ito sa LGU upang maresolba ang paulit-ulit na problema nito sa coliform bacteria.
