The management of the Southern Palawan Provincial Hospital (SPPH) announced that starting today, September 3, the Out-Patient Department will be temporarily closed due to the increasing number of COVID-19 suspected patients and confirmed cases of the virus.
According to SPPH, the closure aims to conduct intensive disinfection and decontamination throughout the hospital and its surroundings.
SPPH added, through this, their frontliners can focus on the severe cases of COVID-19.
“Ang pamunuan ng ospital ay magbibigay ng anunsyo kung kailan maibabalik ang operasyon ng Out-Patient Department,” as stated in SPPH’s official notice to the public.
Meanwhile, their Emergency Room is open 24/7 and will continue to assist patients who require immediate treatment.
The SPPH management also encourages the public to get vaccinated and adhere to minimum public health standards as these are the most effective prevention to the ever-increasing number of patients coming to the hospital with COVID-19 symptoms.
The said ‘Notice’ was signed by SPPH Incident Commander Dr Amabel B. Labor.
