The municipal government of El Nido through the leadership of the  Mayor Edna Gacot-Lim supported the culmination activity for the CBDRP of the different barangays.

The Community-based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) is a holistic approach in rehabilitating the drug personalities who surrendered and aims to focus on the healing of the body, mind and soul through counseling and other therapeutic sessions.

The Graduation Ceremony was held in El Nido last  November 30, 2021. Officials who were present during the activity were Mayor Edna Lim, MLGOO Gil Padul, Major Rex C. Vilches, Chief of Police oof  El Nido PNP and Ms. Florfe Anne Fernandez, Spokesperson of PADAP. The 17 PWUDs are from the barangays of El Nido particularly in  barangay Bucana, Maligaya and Corong-Corong.

According to the Mayor they have been working hard to curb the use of illegal drugs in their municipality, and the active participation of the PWUDS in the different special programs of the MADAC have immensely contributed to their rehabilitation.

The Provincial Government of Palawan continuously supports the program by providing trainings and assessment for PWUDs and also provides job opportunities and livelihood.

Aside from El Nido the other municipalities including Narra and Espaniola already have their PWUD’s who finished the month-long rehabilitation and are now living harmoniously with their family and community.
