Grandest Baragatan to kickoff on June 10

Invite your friends, family, or your significant other to this year’s most-awaited ‘grandest’ and vibrant Baragatan sa Palawan 2022!

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Baragatan sa Palawan is set to come back this month–with this year’s theme of, “Baragatan sa Bagong Palawan Ngayon: Moderno, Progresibo, at Kilala sa Buong Mundo–Legasiya ng Tapat, Mahusay, at Epektibong Paglilingkod sa mga Palaweňo ng Administrasyon ni Gov. Jose Ch. Alvarez”, the Provincial Government of Palawan is all set for the three-week commemoration of the 120th Founding Anniversary of the civil government of the province of Palawan, to kickoff for its soft-opening on June 10 and to end on June 30.

Firsts of the festival will include the opening of the Barakalan sa Baragatan by 9:00 AM–Agro-Trade Fair, Private Trade Fair or Souvenir Shops, Halamanan sa Baragatan–popularly known for the market showcase of Palawan’s local harvests, products, and services from the micro and macro-entrepreneurs for the provincial community to enjoy in.

Filipinos being foodies, the market showcase will also be enveloped with “Caraenan sa Dalan with Konsyerto sa Baragatan” as affordable and sumptuous meals prepared by locals can be seen and munched during the performances of some local musician artists.

Apart from those, the celebration will also hold Sining Palawan Arts Exhibit and Painting Competition where local artists are set to compete for their talent in arts and colors.

The festival’s soft opening will take place around 4:00 PM, to be paraded with the eucharistic celebration and blessing of booths, and the start up of the TikTok, selfie, groufie, and Kwentong Palaweňo Vlogs.
