Palawan PPO, hindi pa kinukumpirmang NPA ang nasa likod ng insidente sa San Vicente

Nilinaw ng Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO) na wala pa silang kinukompirmang grupo na nasa likod sa naganap na insidente kamakailan sa Bayan ng San Vicente.

Sa panayam ng Palawan Daily News sa tagapagsalita ng PPO na si PCapt. Ric Ramos, nilinaw niyang ang mga sinabi nila sa mga panayam at sa spot report ay “pinaniniwalaang miyembro ng CTGs” at hindi umano “kumpirmado” na mga kasapi ng mga makakaliwang-grupo ang may gawa sapagkat under investigation pa rin ang kaso sa kasalukuyan.

“Wala [pa] po tayong kinukompirma. Ang sinasabi po natin ay ‘believed to be members of CTG,’” ang paglilinaw ni PCapt. Ramos.

Kinabukasan umano matapos maganap ang engkwentro  sa pagitan ng ng 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company  at hindi pa nakikilalang mga armadong grupo ay agad na tinungo ng PNP San Vicente ang pinangyarihan ng insidente upang magsagawa ng inspection at doon ay na-recover umano ng mga otoridad ang 20 pirasong basyo ng bala ng armalite.

“Ni-request na rin po ito for ballistic examination and siyempre po, nagsagawa po ng clearing operation and hot pursuit operation….Wala pong timeline ang hot pursuit as long po ito ay talagang patuloy ‘yung pagsasagawa ng operasyon para matukoy kung sino po ang grupong  ito,” dagdag pa ng Spokesperson ng Provincial PNP.

Taliwas din sa inisyal na ulat ng San Vicente Municipal Police Station na “sniping/ambush incident,” ang ginamit na terminolohiya ng PPO ay “shooting incident.”

“Hindi po ito ambush. Kini-clear po natin na ito ay ‘armed encounter’ ibig sabihin, nagkapalitan po ng putok, nagkaengkwentro po,” ani Ramos.

Matatandaang pasado alas otso ng gabi noong Mayo 20 at papunta sana ang convoy ng 2nd PMFC sa Brgy. Poblacion upang magsagawa ng Internal Security Operations sa San Vicente-Taytay area nang mangyari ang insidente sa Sitio Itabiak, Brgy. New Agutaya sa nabanggit na munisipyo kung saan isa sa panig ng pamahalaan ang nadaplisan ng bala sa ulo. Ayon  naman sa Palawan PPO, nakalabas na ng ospital ang biktimang si  Patrolman Jayson Catanduanes  sapagkat minor wound lang naman ang kanyang natamo bagamat naging madugo ang sugat dahil ito ay nasa bahaging ulo.
