Starting tomorrow, March 15, 2020, Port Barton in San Vicente, will be conducting checkpoint to ensure the health and safety of the community, this was announced by Dr. Mercy S. Pablico, municipal health officer of San Vicente, Palawan.
The initiative was approved after the meeting of the barangay local government unit of Port Barton together with their municipal health office (MHO) this afternoon.
The monitoring team will be composed of uniformed personnel, Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Tanods. And due to lack of manpower to conduct the checkpoint, the officials urged residents to volunteer in assisting in the monitoring. The MHO will be conducting training to those who wanted to volunteer.
The municipal health officer advised that people should wash hands regularly, not to panic and avoid believing in fake news.
