A day before Valentine’s Day, a twenty-five-year-old made a buzz online after uploading a vlog of his visit to the city’s famous Baker’s Hill.
Standing at the theme park’s favorite picture spot, Didik Mohadir opens the video with his unforgettable “Welcome to Baker’s Hill!” greeting. Introducing himself as the “dear ng buhay mo”, he talked about the famed Palawan Hopia as “super sweet, kikiligan ka kahit wala kang jowa!”
His natural, fun vibe on camera coupled with mispronunciations of words gained this Mohadir the title as the “Baker’s Hill Vlogger”. As of this writing, his vlog reached 37K views, 1K shares, 2K likes and 300 comments on Facebook.
Mohadir is a native of Rio Tuba in Bataraza and currently works in the Ads and Promo Department of SM Supermarket at SM City Puerto Princesa. He has always been fond of creating videos since high school but it was only recently when he took courage to start due to the prodding of his close friends who supported him in coming up with content. What motivated him is the thought of making people happy through his videos. When asked if he is aware that he has gone viral because of his verbal glitches, Mohadir said he doesn’t really mind as long as many people find it entertaining and that he can actually help spread good vibes.
“Kahit hindi ka sikat pag alam talaga ng tao na nagkamali ka iba-bash ka nila, ang mga tao ngayon ay nagiging masaya pag nagkakamali ka, hindi nman lahat ng positibo ay positibo talaga, may negatibo talaga – kasama yan sa buhay. Hinahayan ko na lang sila mag bash sakin. Kung saan sila masaya, ok na ako basta’t ang akin gusto ko lang mapasaya ang mga tao,” Mohadir said.
The newbie vlogger aims to create more content and hopes to work with known funny Palawan vloggers like Bitoy Cortez. He also started his own channel on Youtube called Mohadir TV. “Gusto ko po na may mapatunayan ako at isa sa pangarap ko ay maging successful in life yon lang po, at matulungan ko yong parents ko,” Mohadir added.
He wishes to see more places and definitely to experience falling in love. He said that his latest inspiration is his co-worker who gives him moral support to do good in making people happy. “Ang inspirasyon sa pag vlog yong besty ko at mga friends ko at specially yong crush ko naga work sa SM po” Mohadir said in closing.
