Present during the activity were Mayor Gerandy Danao, punong barangays Mauro E. Gapuz of Brgy. Antipuluan, Felomina H. Janiva of Brgy. Malinao, Rizaldy B. Roman of Brgy. Princess Urduja, Alonzo S. Eleazar of Brgy Aramaywan, Rudy B. Cayanan of Brgy. Caguisan, Ernesto B. Ferrer Jr. of Brgy. Bato-Bato, Roderick S. Aperocho of Brgy. Poblacion, Macario L. Barrientos of Brgy. Tacras and Reynaldo B. Provincial agriculturist Dr. Romeo Cabungcal, Atty. Ariel Abis from the Provincial Legal Office, personnel of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Health Office, Governor’s Office and representatives from Provincial PNP were also present.

“Itinakda ang CELP upang maglaan ng epektibong mekanismo para sa buong mamamayan sa Palawan; para maiahon at matulungan ang ating mamamayan na minsang nalugmok at naligaw ng landas dahil sa ipinagbabawal na droga,” said Asri S. Kuhutan, team leader ng CELP for Drug Surrenders.

Aside from Narra town, the CELP for drug surrenders also started in Brgy Bancalaan, Balabac town, the southernmost municipality of Palawan.

The Community Care Team (CCT) were trained for the execution and implementation of the CELP.

“Nais ni Gob. Jose Ch. Alvarez na sa pamamagitan ng programang ito ay mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga drug surrenderees sa lalawigan na maisaayos ang kanilang pamumuhay at mabigyan ng pagkakataon na magkaroon ng magandang kinabukasan pati na ang kanilang pamilya,” the provincial government of Palawan said in a statement.

CELP is a drug rehabilitation program for three years now by the Provincial Government of Palawan to support those who voluntarily surrendered under the PNP’s Oplan Tokhang.
