Itinanghal na 1st Runner-Up ang grupo ng BS in Petroleum Engineering Program ng Palawan State University (PalawanSU) sa ginanap na Petrobowl Asia Pacific Regional Qualifier 2025 noong Hulyo 8-10, sa Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Seri Iskandar, Malaysia.

Ang grupo ay binubuo nina Sheare J. Alsad, Lewel D. Escano, Rod Andrei G. Cipriano, Justine Jude D. Aborot, at Jenelyn S. Barrameda, na siyang pinangunahan naman ng kanilang tagapagsanay na si Engr. Dexter B. Tanabe.

“It honestly feels surreal. I never imagined we would achieve 1st Runner-Up. Seeing our competitors from more established institutions made me doubt if we could stand on the same stage—but here we are. I’m overflowing with joy and gratitude.” ani Alsad.

Ibinahagi rin niya na marami silang hinarap na personal at logistical na pagsubok bago pa man makarating sa Malaysia.

“Even before we set foot in Malaysia, our team faced many challenges—both personal and logistical. There were moments when some of us almost backed out.“

“It wasn’t easy, but looking back, it was definitely worthwhile for the whole team, the experience and what we achieved made every sacrifice worth it,” pahayag pa nila.

“This time, I’ll also focus more on strengthening our team dynamics, building better communication and strategy with my teammates, because I believe that success in a competition like this comes not just from individual effort, but from solid teamwork,” saad niya.
