The Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO) got the “Silver Eagle Award” after garnering an over-all rating of 91. 13 percent in the “proficiency evaluation stage” of Performance Governance System (PGS).
PGS is otherwise known as the Philippine National Police – Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and Upholding of the Rule-Of-Law (PNP- P.A.T.R.O.L) Plan 2030. A Silver Eagle Award is being conferred to the PNP unit with the higher overall rating in a certain stage of the PGS.
Dr. Jesus Ong, chairman of the Provincial Advisory Council (PAC) for PPO and Police Colonel Dionisio Bartolome, Jr. jointly received the plaque of recognition from the Police Regional Office (PRO) for Mimaropa during the conferment of PGS and awarding ceremony held in Calapan City.
Based on the over-all assessment conducted by the PRO, the PPO achieved the best quality performance in functionality of strategy partners, as well as the analysis and examination of strategy execution.
PNP-Palawan has exhibited good quality of functions in terms of stakeholder communication, initiatives management, best practice and breakthrough results.
“This award is befitting of our police force members who faced the toils and life trials so that the Palaweños can live in peace and security. A loud applause to all the men and women of the Provincial Police for a job well done,”Ong said in his message.
The PGS has four stages: initiation, compliance, proficiency and institutionalization, which aims to improve the quality of police services to the community, strengthen the capabilities of law enforcement as well as to develop all PNP personnel well-being. (LBD/PIAMIMAROPA-Palawan)
