Puerto Princesa City will do the lighting of the giant Christmas tree at Puerto Princesa Baywalk on December 1, as part of the city’s Christmas and feast day celebration in honor of our patron, Our Lady of the Immaculate Concepcion.
City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron said that similar that in the previous years, thousands of residents are expected to gather at the baywalk to officially welcome the holiday season, and he invites city officials and employees to participate and witness the event.
“Inaanyayahan ko kayong lahat ngayong linggo (December 1). Dito ay sasabihin ko ang directions ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Puerto Princesa kung ano ang ma-accomplish natin hangang 2022, kaya dapat nandun kayo,” he told city officials and employees.
Mayor Bayron explained that aside from the lighting ceremony, the city government is also set to enter into a sisterhood agreement with Dumaran and Aborlan.
Aside from the sisterhood agreement signing, the city government is also set to formalize its agreement with the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) and VistaLand for the planned development in the 45.5-hectare relocation site in Barangay Irawan, intended for the displaced informal settlers from the coastal residents in Quito.
Vista Land is the country’s largest homebuilder owned by former Senator Manuel Villar and Senator Cynthia Villar. It is the market leader by far in terms of total number of houses built, having constructed about 300,000 homes in 47 provinces, and 141 towns and cities. With the widest geographic reach among all property developers in the Philippines, the company continues to solidify the status of “Camella” as a truly national brand.
“Sa signing ay du’n tayo magpipirmahan. Itong sa sisterhood agreement at signing with HLURB at Vista Land. Kasi itong Vista Land meron silang CSR (corporate social responsibility). Ang pinili nila ay gagawin ang horizontal development ng Irawan at ang community facility na multi-purpose hall ay sila na rin ang gagawa,” Mayor Bayron said.
