Coastal waters of Inner Malampaya Sound and Taytay, Palawan, also remain free from toxic red tides.

Earlier, the City Government through the Office of the City Mayor has released a local red tide warning, dated March 20.

Prior to the latest BFAR advisory, this local red tide warning noted that the laboratory microscopic examination conducted by the Palawan Red Tide Testing Center (PRTTC) found the water samples collected from Puerto Princesa Bay positive to Pyrodinium bahamanse var. compressum, a toxic microorganism that causes Paralytic Shellfish Poison (PSP).

However, a week later BFAR in its latest shellfish bulletin included Puerto Princesa Bay under the areas in the country that remain free from toxic red tide.
