The 48 year old Peria Aguates-Lutter from Port Barton in San Vicente who is living in Germany for 20 years now, is competing for the first ever Mrs. Pearl Philippines Euroasia 2021, a title for all married Filipina living in Europe ages 46 to 70 years old.
Peria said this is her first time to join a pageant. The coronation was originally scheduled July of this year but pandemic hits and the latest schedule set is on May 23, 2021 to be held at Lancaster Grand Theatre in Lancaster, England. Peria is one of the 18 candidates and she represents Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
According to Peria, since pandemic affects the competition it migrated to an online and virtual contest. Contestants were asked to do some challenges and post videos in order to be on the roll since March of this year. Peria got second place for Virtual talent award for her acting prowess, and was recognized COVID-19 Beautiful Warrior for her relief donation project for the senior citizens of Port Barton.
“Dito ako nakatira sa Germany bawat lugar dito sa Europa kailangan may candidate na makuha sila, ‘yung kakilala ko sa Pinay group isa siya sa director sa event lahat ng kinuha niya nag back out, kaya noong kinausap niya ako, sabi ng husband ko go just for fun,” Lutter said.
Peria is a graduate of BS Custom from Palawan Polytechnic College, Inc and currently employed in Elektrowholesaler in Germany. She met her husband in Port Barton and they have 1 daughter at present.
Being a first timer in joining pageant, Peria admits that she discover a lot of skills in this competition, such as designing and creating her own gown, she also want to ask the support of Palaweños especially during some challenges that need popular votes thru online engagement.
“Yung pagsali ko dito just for fun, ma-experience natin ang ibang opportunity na di natin narasanan noon, ang gusto ko rito patunayan na kung kaya ng iba, kaya ko rin rumampa,” Lutter added.
Mrs. Pearl Philippines EuroAsia is founded by Mrs. UK Philippines Universe 2020 Julie Knowles, according to her it’s a two divisional beauty pageant under Mrs. Philippines EuroAsia that is advocacy-centric competition, wherein they let their candidates choose their charity and be involved with it. Aside from the crown the winner will get 350 pound and other non-cash prizes.
