Residents of Palawan can expect mostly clear skies throughout Tuesday, with the possibility of brief but intense thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez confirmed that no tropical storms or low-pressure systems are currently being monitored within or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). However, localized weather patterns will continue to bring rain to various parts of the country.

“For Palawan, the Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao, generally fair weather will prevail. However, we anticipate localized thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon and evening,” Dominguez stated.

While the northeast monsoon remains active, its effects are primarily felt in Extreme Northern Luzon, bringing overcast skies and scattered rains to Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao. Meanwhile, a shear line is influencing weather conditions in Isabela and Aurora, where intermittent rain showers are expected.
For most of Luzon, including Metro Manila, the forecast remains hot and humid, with a strong likelihood of isolated thunderstorms developing later in the day.
In Mindanao, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is generating sporadic rain showers, particularly in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Sarangani, and Sultan Kudarat.

PAGASA has not issued any gale warnings, indicating that sea conditions are generally safe for small vessels. However, Dominguez advised fishermen and boat operators to remain vigilant, as sudden thunderstorms and strong winds could still pose risks.
With weather patterns shifting throughout the day, authorities continue to urge the public to stay updated on advisories and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to sudden downpours.
