The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Mimaropa announced that the effectivity of new minimum wage in the region took effect today January 1, 2026.

This after the RTWPB issued the Wage Order No. RB-MIMAROPA-13 last month, raising the daily minimum wage for private sector workers in the region to P455 per day.

“This rate applies to workers in establishments with 10 employees and above (from ₱430) as well as those with less than 10 employees (from ₱404), following the Board’s adoption of a single minimum wage rate for all private establishments in Mimaropa, regardless of employment size,” the RTWPB explained.

The monthly minimum wage for domestic workers is also increased to P7,000.

The region is composed of the provinces of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan.

The wage adjustment was approved after conducting consultations with workers, employers, and stakeholders in the provinces of Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan.

The wage board said the increase intends to help the region’s workers cope with rising cost of living.
