Nabatid mula sa ipinalabas na impormasyon ng 3rd Marine Brigade sa Palawan, sampung dating sumusuporta sa mga Communist Terrorist Group o CCP-NPA sa lalawigan ang nakipag-ugnayan na sa pamahalaan upang mangsalong at mangakong titiwalag na sa mga makakaliwang grupo.

Bilang resulta, nagkaroon ng pirmahan o kasunduan ang mga ito kasama ang Joint Task Group-North/Marine Battalion Landing Team-3, Joint Intelligence Task Units-North, Local Government Unit, at Barangay Officials.

Ang aktibidad ay ginanap sa Brgy. Langogan Gymnasium,  Puerto Princesa City, nitong ika-18 ng Mayo.

Ayon kay Brigadier General Jimmy Larida, Commander ng 3rd Marine Brigade Philippine Navy (Marines), ito ay dahil sa patuloy na pagsusumikap ng Hukbong Lakas ng Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng JTG-North kung kaya’t muling napagtagumpayan ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Community Support Program na makamit ang dagdag kasarinlan sa lugar.   “The incessant efforts of the PTF-ELCAC have played a significant contribution to the continuous withdrawal of support of CTGs supporters and Sympathizers,” ani Larida.

Dagdag pa ni Larida, ngayong buwan lamang ng Mayo, umabot na sa 56 miyembro ng CTG Milisyang Bayan ang nagtakwil ng suporta sa CPP-NPA.

“As of this date, for the month of May alone, there were already fifty-six (56) members of CTG Milisyang Bayan from different barangays in Northern Palawan who have withdrawn their support to CPP-NPA, which indicates another leap of opportunity in ending local communist armed conflict,” dagdag ni Larida
