Puerto Princesa, magpapadala ng tulong sa Mindanao

Nakatakdang magbigay ng tulong ang City Government ng Puerto Princesa sa mga lugar na tinamaan ng malakas na lindol kamakailan sa Mindanao lalo na sa North Cotabato.

Ito ay matapos na pahintulutan ng Sangguniang Panlungsod sa pamamagitan ng isang resolusyon ang City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Bago ito ay kanilang ipinatawag at isinalang sa question and answer hour ng Regular na Sesyon ng City Council si CDRRMO Officer Earl Timbancaya para malaman ang detalye nito.

Ayon kay Timbancaya, tinanong umano siya ni Mayor Lucilo Bayron kung ano ang kaniyang rekomendasyon sa plano ng Punong Lungsod na magpaabot ng tulong sa mga biktima.

“The City Mayor asked me on how we can, the City Government, extend assistance po sa earthquake victims sa Mindanao po,” ani Timbancaya.

Sinabi pa ni Timbancaya na inirekomenda niya sa Punong Lungsod na magpadala ng financial assistance at mga food and non-food items maging ng mga gamot.

“Ang aking recommendation, that magpadala po tayo ng food and non-food items and financial assistance dito sa dalawang local government units sa North Cotabato namely Makilala at Tulunan which is yan po on our assestment sa level namin yan po medyo hardist hit and they would greatly benefit sa mga assistance na ii-extend natin,” pahayag pa niya.

Kinumpirma niya rin sa Konseho na ang mga naka-stockpile na pagkain sa CDRMMO ay kinabibilangan ng mga bigas at canned goods habang sa non-food items ay may family kitchen sets, family cooking sets kasama na banig, at kulambo, hygiene kit, at mga gamit para sa bagong panganak na ina at maging sa sanggol.

Maliban sa mga ito na nagkakahalaga umano ng P2 milyong piso ay sinabi rin ni Timbangcaya na bibigyan rin ng tig-P1 milyong piso ang dalawang munisipyo na ang pondo ay magmumula sa CDRRMO at ito ay pinapayagan ng batas.

Idinagdag pa ni Timbancaya na ipadadala ang mga food at nonfood items sa pamamagitan ng Philippine Air Force habang personal na iaabot sa dalawang lokal na pamahalaan ang financial assistance.

Matatandaang noong Sabado, sa opening ng Subaraw Festival pinangunahan rin ni Mayor Bayron ang silent prayer para sa biktima ng mga lindol sa Mindanao.

Samantala, tinayak naman ni Timbancaya na walang magiging problema ang CDRRMO kahit pa may hindi inaasagang dumating na sakuna sa Syudad.
