Cash Card para sa Senior Citizens at PWDs, iminungkahi ni Maristela

Hinihiling ngayon ni City Councilor Peter Maristela sa City Treasurer’s Office na gumawa ng pag-aaral sa posibleng pag-implementa ng Cash Card System sa pagbibigay ng allowance ng City Government sa mga Senior Citizen at Persons with Disabilities o PWD.

Sa resolusyong inihain ni Maristela sa City Council, sinabi niya na may ulat na kung minsan ay naaantala ang pamamahagi ng allowance ng mga matatanda.

Ayon pa kay Maristela, responsibilidad ng City Government na tiyaking naibibigay ang serbisyo sa taong-bayan ng maayos at sa tamang oras kaya kung gagamit ng cash card ay hindi na mahihirapan ang mga Senior Citizen at PWDs na makuha ang kanilang pera.

“The cash card will allow the beneficiary Senior Citizens and Persons with Disability to easily access and withdraw the amount anytime he/she may have deemed it convenient, without being compelled to go and queue at the City Hall as the cash card is accessible in many Automatic Teller Machine located in the city,” giit pa niya.

Sa ngayon kasi, manu-mano ang pagbibigay ng City government ng cash allowance sa mga matatanda at may mga kapansanan.

Sa taong 2020 ay gagawin nang P1500 mula sa isang libong piso kada kwarter ng taon ang ibibigay na social pension para mas lalo pang makatulong sa pang-araw araw na gastusin at pambili ng gamot ang mga Senior Citizen at PWD.

Ang cash card ay isang electronic debit card tulad ng ATM card na nag-ooperate sa pamamagitan ng magnetic stripe technology na may PIN-based protocol.
