Puerto Princesa City IMT, tatanggap ng Saliva RT-PCR Test result

Isa sa mga requirement para sa mga inbound travellers patungong Puerto Princesa ay negatibong resulta ng RT-PCR test kaugnay ng COVID-19. Ayon sa Puerto Princesa City Incident Management Team (CIMT), tatanggapin nila ang resulta ng Saliva RT-PCR Test na kamakailan lang ay inilunsad ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Palawan Chapter. 98.11% accurate umano ito tulad ng RT-PCR test na gumagamit ng swab sample upang malaman kung ikaw ay negatibo o positibo sa sakit na COVID-19.

“Yung test po na yan is almost the same po yan ng tatanggapin po namin, kung kailangan po namin magpa RT-PCR ka. Kung mapunta ka man sa Ospital ng Palawan or sa Red Cross at kung ano man po ang maging resulta po nun ay counted po yun as tatanggapin po ng IMT kung kailangan ka po namin ipa-test.” Paliwanag ni Dr. Dean Palanca, Commander ng IMT Puerto Princesa.

Dagdag pa ni Dr. Palanca, malaking tulong umano ang Saliva RT-PCR Test dahil kakaunti na lamang umano ang mga cartridges na mayroon ang Ospital ng Palawan (ONP) para sa mga swab sample.

“Lalong lalo na po ngayon sa Ospital ng Palawan yung cartridges po kasi doon ay medyo bumababa na. Medyo kaunti na lang yung pang test natin sa mga nagiging COVID suspect at yun na nga sabi nga natin kung magkakaroon tayo ng mga sandamakmak na mga local case mayu-used-up na natin si Ospital ng Palawan na RT-PCR Test. So ang mangyayari niyan hindi na sila makakapag-test so mayroon nang isang alternative tayo itong sa Red Cross Saliva Test.”

Mura at epektibo umano dahil nagkakahalaga lamang ito ng P2,000.00 ayon sa Philippine Red Cross Palawan Chapter at nagustuhan naman ito ng City IMT dahil marami ang pupuwedeng matulungan nito lalo na sa mga empleyado ng mga private companies, uniformed personnels at OFW na kinakailangan magpa RT-PCR kapag lalabas sa Palawan papunta sa ibang lugar.

“May payment pero napakamura kasi kung sa ibang lugar nasa 4,000.00 o 6,000.00 po yan ito hindi ka mato-toxic ano. Kaunting may idudura ka lang na saliva and then may babayaran and very easy to do it po.”

“At ito nakikita talaga namin na malaking tulong lalong-lalo na yung sa mga private individuals and companies na nangangailangan ng requirements nila na magpa RT-PCR Test.”

“Well yung mga OFW natin na pabalik na ng ibang bansa kasi kailangan din na mayroon din silang RT-PCR Test so ito I think ay counted din at ito ay tinatanggap po as a isang way din ng isang RT-PCR Test.”

“Actually yung mga uniformed personnels marami po ang nag ri-request po sa amin kasi required yan sila na magpa-test, kailangan bago sila magpunta sa mga kampo or outside ng Palawan so puwede na namin silang i-refer po sa mga ganitong test at mas mura at mas cheaper po yung babayaran po nila.” – Dr. Dean Palanca (City IMT Commander)

Samantala, pinaaalalahanan naman di Dr. Dean Palanca ang mamamayan na mas mag-ingat dahil luluwag na ang mga patakaran sa Puerto Princesa base narin sa ibinabang kautusan mula sa National IATF.

“So mag ingat po tayo sa labas mababago po yung protocol ng Puerto Princesa kaya nga sabi ko magkakasama na tayo baka pati PUM [Persons Under Monitoring] katabi na natin yan sa mga sasakyan mga bus, jeep, mall and so yan po talaga ang ibinaba sa atin ng national at kailangan na po natin sundin. PUM parin ang tawag natin diyan Person Under Monitoring for 2 weeks po iyon so ingat po tayo at strictly enforce talaga sa mga minimum health standard na ipapatupad.”
