Revisit the accomplishments and some captured stories of the men and women in uniform of the AFP Western Command at SM City Puerto Princesa’s Salute Photo and Static Exhibit starting June 6, 2019 until the Philippine Independence Day.
The exhibit features the capabilities of our soldiers immortalized in frames and showcases some military machinery and equipment to increase awareness among the public of our military strength and capabilities to protect national interests and security.
“The exhibit memorializes the contribution of WesCom in protecting our land especially Palawan with the aim to engage mallgoers and help them have a greater understanding of the huge role WesCom plays in keeping us all safe,” said Engr. Darrel Sy, assistant mall manager of SM City Puerto Princesa during the launch of the exhibit on June 6, 2019.
The Salute Exhibit narrates the different roles of WesCom through images of our soldiers responding to civilians in need of assistance, of disaster response, and of community development programs.
“Western Command perceives this Salute Exhibit as a symbol of Palaweños’ highest respect to the heroism and patriotism showed and set by our past and present heroes for more than centuries ago ‘til present,” delivered by BGen Lauro Tianchon AFP, deputy commander of WesCom as part of the message of Vadm Rene Medina AFP, commander of WesCom.
