The mother is considered the light of the home. To her children, she is that brilliant star who guides them along the path of life. Home is where we shall find “Mom” doing her multifaceted role as an educator who teaches her children the true meaning of Christian values, a friend and comforter in times of hardship, and particularly a devoted and faithful wife. She exudes a lifetime dedication to a noble and dignified family relationship.
On May 12, the mothers of the world will again be remembered as we celebrate Mother’s Day in their honor. The occasion, indeed, will afford us to recognize and give tribute to their significant contribution and unwavering commitment towards fostering the growth and development of children and building a happy home through family cohesiveness and togetherness. Similarly, childless married women involved in parental care and guidance are also welcome in this regard. Some of us who don’t have our mothers today may look up to them at a distance.
Nevertheless, amid these secular fanfares, it be-hooves us to call upon our Celestial Mother, Mama Mary, to inspire and encourage all mothers in rearing the family. After all, the vitality of love, affection, and care is the best a mother could give.
Long live the honored mothers elsewhere!
