CBNC supports robotics training program for Palawan educators and learners

Coral Bay Nickel Corporation (CBNC) is supporting the rollout of the Robotics and Automation Skills Development Program for selected teachers and learners in Palawan.

The program aims to strengthen participants’ competencies in robotics and automation, equipping them with foundational skills in coding, design, and problem-solving aligned with emerging technological demands.

The opening ceremony was attended by officials from the Schools Division Office of Palawan, along with participants from Leonides S. Virata Memorial School (LSVMS), Palawan State University (PSU), and Western Philippines University (WPU), who will take part in the event scheduled from April 20 to 25, 2026, in Bataraza,
Palawan.

CBNC, through its Community Relations Manager, Bernie Martinez, is providing support alongside Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation and RTN Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with ERovoutica, Hajimeru IT Solutions, LVMS Makerspace and Tech Hub, the Department of Science and Technology MIMAROPA, and the Department of Education Palawan.

Organizers said the initiative reflects a collaborative effort between industry, government, and academic institutions to enhance science and technology education in Palawan and prepare learners for future careers in automation and innovation.
