Mga guro ng Puerto Princesa humihingi ng donasyon dahil sa kakulangan ng pondo – DEPED

Bagaman naudlot ang pagbubukas ng klase, usap-usapan sa social media ang pagsosolicit ng ilang guro ng Puerto Princesa para matugunan ang pangangailangan ng mga estudyante sa darating na pasukan. Ang makukuhang donasyon, gagamitin umano sa pag imprenta ng mga learning modules na ipamamahagi sa mga estudyante para sa kanilang pag-aaral.

Inamin ni City Schools Division Superintendent Servillano Arzaga na hindi sapat ang Maintainence and Other Operating Expenses o MOOE ng bawat eskwelahan kung kaya’t ang ilan sa mga guro ay naghahanap ng donasyon.

“Kung aasahan mo lang ‘yung school MOOE talagang kulang na kulang ‘yun kaya humihingi kami ng tulong sa mga local government units. Paswertehan, depende kung may maibigay that’s why ang ilang teachers nagre-resort sa solicitation,” ani Arzaga sa panayam ng Palawan Daily News.

“I cannot blame the teachers,” dagdag pa ni Arzaga.

Batid man ang kakulangan sa pondo aniya hanggat maaari ay hindi dapat naghihingi ng donasyon ang mga ito habang may sapat pang pondo mula sa MOOE. Maaari naman umanong tumanggap ang mga ito ng donasyon kagaya ng face masks, face shield at alcohol.

Ayon naman kay Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Mabel F. Musa bagaman hindi madali para sa mga guro ang responbilidad na nakaatang sa mga balikat nito lalo na sa bagong sistema ng pagtuturo ay trabaho ng mga ito na gumawa ng paraan kung kinakailangan para sa pagpapabuti ng kalidad ng pagtuturo at edukasyon.

“Kahit ako po personally naso- solicit-an kasi may mga kaibigan din po ako sa ibang probinsya, region,” dagdag pa ni Musa.

Base sa survey na isingawa ng Department of Education kung anong learning modality ang angkop sa lungsod, lumalabas na modular distance learning ang nais ng mga mag-aaral at mga magulang.
