CARD SME launches pro-environment initiative

Together with its officers, employees and members CARD SME launched its first activity for the environment entitled “Let’s grow trees together,” a tree planting activity held at Envi Estate Bgy. Sta Lucia, Puerto Princesa City.

Mr. Noli Martinez, Vice President for Marketing, said this event will be an advocacy of the company that will not only focus on the community but the environment as well.

“Ito pa ang gagawin nating series of activity for the coming years, ito po ay magiging adbokasiya ng buong CARD. Alam naman po natin na ang CARD ay tumtulong bumuo ng community.

Part ng community ay hindi lang naman mga tao kasama po ang ating kapaligiran, ang ating environment,” Mr. Martinez said.

“Ito isa sa paraan natin para tayo naman ibalik nmn natin kay mother earth kelangan natin siya alagaan kasi sabi nga “walang spare parts sa planet earth,” he added.

CARD SME plants total of 100 seedlings which consist of Golden Shower Tree and Cherry Blossom Tree locally known as Balayong.

CARD SME Bank is a full-fledged thrift bank, which provides value-added banking products and services to members and non-members alike, from a simple savings account or time deposit to more comprehensive loan products such as microfinance loans to less fortunate individuals who want to help themselves gain financial freedom. They also provide business loans to Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) to help them grow their business.
