Nagsagawa kamakailan ng aerial inspection ang City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) sa Tagkawayan Beach, Barangay Bacungan, upang suriin ang lagay ng karagatan at mga panganib sa lugar.
Sa isinagawang pagmamanman mula sa himpapawid, napagmasdan ang pagbuo ng mga ipo-ipo o whirlpool current — isang likas na phenomenon na bagama’t karaniwang hindi mapanganib, maaari pa ring magdulot ng banta sa mga naliligo, pati na rin sa mga maliliit na bangka kung hindi ito mababantayan.
Bunsod nito, nanawagan ang CDRRMO sa mga residente at turista na nagpaplanong magtungo sa mga dalampasigan na manatiling updated sa mga ipinalalabas na advisory. Hinikayat din ang lahat na maging mapagmatyag, maging maingat, at laging isaalang-alang ang kaligtasan upang makaiwas sa anumang insidente.

Patuloy na minomonitor ng mga awtoridad ang kalagayan ng karagatan upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng publiko.
