On its sophomore run, the commercial and non-government organization pageant Miss Palawan wants to focus on charity as 14 candidates compete.
Headed by Supreme G Production of Bong Villanueva, Palawan’s salon magnate, Miss Palawan Charities, Inc. grand coronation is set on December 8 at 7 in the evening at the City Coliseum.
Out 40 applicants, the 14 candidates traveled north in San Vicente, and to the south in Bataraza town to share the good vibes and explore more possibilities on how to spread charitable initiatives.
This year’s winner will receive P50,000 cash prize, while the North and South Queens will both receive P10,000 cash.
The ladies will compete in festival attire, swimsuit, and long gown, and the much-anticipated question and answer portion.
Cleo Deomampo of Topstrata will provide this year’s gowns, which are newly-designed creations made by Deomampo using cloth from Thailand, while the swimwear is designed by commercial designer Rommel Mercado.
Villanueva said that they aim to help more in this year’s pageant, adding they just recently conducted a feeding program in San Vicente, and after the coronation, they will do gift-giving among the Batak tribes in Brgy. Tanabag at Puerto Princesa.
Miss Palawan grand coronation will have former Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul as a judge, and Pinoy Big Brother Seth Fedelin to serenade the ladies. A concert will follow featuring indie rock band December Avenue, tickets are available at P100, P200, P500, and P1000.
