The former Mark Bumgarner intern in Makati City and Fashion Assistant to Kubra Al Qasseer in Bahrain, is opening her first solo art exhibit in Tarabidan at Dang Maria’s Bed and Breakfast, entitled “Lovella Amor”.
Artist Kimberly Azarraga-Chuacingco said the theme of her exhibit that will open this Oct 26 up to 27 is women empowerment as inspired by her own mother, who remains as her priority in life; and more on a tribute to modern Filipina who withstood the test of time.
From preparing dresses and styling models, Chuachingco challenges herself and pursues drawing, until December of 2018 when she began conveying her emotions thru brushes. She would then post her paintings on her social media account.
“I never thought I would be able to unlock my skill in painting,” Kim said.
The exhibit will feature 10 to 15 artworks of Chuachingco that speak mostly about womanhood.
These art pieces are mostly acrylic and watercolor paintings with custom-made frames, water color pad, acrylic pad (canson, Berkeley, baoshang paper). Each painting contains a personal letter by Kimberly.
She is grateful to Dang Marias for the opportunity given as their featured artist in Caniguiran Road in Brgy. Bancao-Bancao here in Puerto Princesa.
Kimberly was born in Roxas City in the province of Capiz, but she relocated with her family in Puerto Prince since 2007.
Lovella Amor (Modern Filipina) Art Exhibit will open Oct 26 at 10am until 5pm of Oct 27. Follow Kim on IG @fablamour.artgallery.
