Local musician Joey Romasanta is now ready to embrace digital as he releases his own-written songs to online platforms to capture a wider market. Five songs which are now available on Spotify Deezer, iTunes, Youtube and even in Tiktok came from his “Lipad” album which he composed during his teenager days.
“Gusto kong ma-share sa lahat ang kanta na naisulat ko, maraming matutunan sa kanta ko, about sa lovelife and mga pangyayari sa pang araw araw na buhay. ‘Yung album ko na Lipad tungkol siya sa mga pagsubok na dumating sa akin na nalagpasan ko,” Romasanta said.
Forty year old Romasanta who grew up in Brgy. San Pedro is a long time acoustic performer in different establishment in the City. He used to be a part of a band which became a resident artist of PAGCOR alongside with OPM artists like Jimmy Bondoc, Freestyle, True Faith, Pops Fernandez, Vina Morales and many more.
Many performers in this pandemic lost a stage, but for Joey there are alternatives that you can do in order to continue your passion for music. One thing he learned in this industry is to stay humble no matter what you’ve achieve, and honing your skills by practicing always is a way for you to stay longer in the industry.

Joey’s inspiration in music are Jim Croce, James Taylor, BabyFace, John Lennon and he is an avid fan of Rico Blanco especially in writing songs. He learned to play the guitar at the age 13 through his brother, since then he didn’t stop playing. Aside from acoustic guitar he also plays harmonica, bass guitar and drums.
His songs under Lipad album includes his carrier single “Lipad”, “Ako”, Pag-Ako’y Tumanda”, “Hangal” and “Paalam”.
