‘Suntok ng Cuyonon’ to launch by Palaweno Boxer Rosas vs Suarez this coming April 24

The Palawan pride in the professional boxing in the Philippines is set to introduce “Suntok Ng Cuyonon” (Punch of Cuyonon) by Lorence Rosas (9-5-2, 3 KOs) in a non-title 10-round fight opposite Filipino Olympian and Davao Del Norte pride Charly Suarez (5-0, 4 KOs), this coming Apil 24 at Paniqui, Tarlac.

Rosas is now in Tarlac preparing for what he called his return bout in the ring after many years of hiatus.  He is happy to be chosen to fight especially this time of the pandemic. He is a former Professional Boxing Champion in the country was ranked first in 2018. He started his boxing career in 2017 and currently in the Rank 11 of his boxing career in the Philippines.

“Malakas ‘yung kalaban, pero gagawin ko ang lahat na makuha ang panalo, ito ‘yung magbabalik sa akin sa professional boxing, advantage lang talaga ‘yung sipag at tiyaga,” Rosas said.

Competing with Suarez with good rating, with title and a former Olympian, Rosas didn’t feel underrated because he believes that he is in the best form and condition at the moment. He’s been training since second week of March after receiving the confirmation to this boxing competition.

The resident of Brgy. San Pedro with roots from Dumaran, 25 year old Rosas finish secondary school at Palawan National School. He said that this fight means a lot to him and hopefully will also inspire fellow boxers from Palawan. He is thankful with Games and Amusement Board for all the support and assistance provided to him.

“Hindi natin ipapahiya ang Palawan, sabi nila iba raw ang suntok ng Cuyonon, ‘yan ang abangan nila,” Rosas added.

The April 24 fight will have Suarez VS Rosas as the main event organized by VSP Promotions, selected audience will be allowed to watch it live where safety protocols, live streams and pay per view will be available too.
