West ground, a rap crew composed of 27 musicians, releases their sophomore music video of the song “XX”, online.
The song XX is written by Ken Large, Raymond, Borabs, Joshia, Dvn and Bonfire based on random thoughts related to that’s happening all around. It’s a follow through of their first music video “Hillside” and other songs that they uploaded via Sound cloud.
West Ground was formed in 2017 with 5 original members united by their passion for creating rap music. The group of 5 grew to what it now, with 27 members giving new flavor to the local rap scene. The members are Ken Large, Yung Solace, Von Fire, Yung Shark, Don Leon, Mazino, Badboy Punjabi, Sadboigoon, Joshia, Chinno, Tony, Smalls, Pomar Beats, Archie, Direk Rocky, Don Avan, DJ Martin Luther, Ramos, Dvn, Borabs, Radz, Raymond, Dirty G, Jablo, Denni$, St. Jude and Henrix.
Film maker Rocky Austria Pagliawan, the spokesman of the group said that most of West Ground members are tattoo artists, music producer and digital content director, it’s a mix of Puerto Princesan’s mostly while others are from Narra, El Nido and Manila.
One thing that members connect is thru “Arena Underground”, a local clothing line that many of them venture way back in 2015, and it also serves as their official apparel whenever they have videos to shoot or in case public performances.
Direk Rocky said that the group have hundreds of songs recorded already, and its theme mostly based on their life here in Palawan, and the happenings they enjoy in the island. XX music video is produced and directed by Vince Angulo of VA Films with Rogie Florida.
