Sapat ang suplay ng isda ngayong kapaskuhan sa rehiyon MiMaRoPa.

Ito ang ipinahayag ni Assistant Regional Director Roberto Abrera ng BFAR-MiMaRoPa sa panayam ng Palawan Daily.

 

Ayon kay Abrera, walang problema sa rehiyon, dahil self-sufficient pa ang suplay ng mga mga produktong dagat, lalo na ng isda.

 

Ito ay sa kabila na mayroong closed season ngayon sa Palawan (galunggong) at Zamboanga (sardines), na nagsimula ngayong Nobyembre 2022 hanggang Enero 2023.

 

Matatandaan na kamakailan lamang ay inaprubahan ni Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban na makapag- import ang bansa ng 25 libong metriko toneladang isda, na laan para lamang sa Metro Manila consumers para sa mga wet market , upang matugunan ang supply demand.

 

Kabilang sa mga isda na aangkatin sa ibang bansa ay ang isda gaya ng galunggong, hasa-hasa, moonfish at marami pang iba.

 

Kasabay din nito ang pagpapahayag sa publiko ni BFAR Chief of Public Information Nazario Briguera na hindi dapat mabahala ang publiko, hinggil sa supply ng isda ngayong Kapaskuhan.

 

Ang Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Acquatic Resources ay patuloy na nagpapatupad ng mga pamamaraan upang huwag makaranas ang bansa ng kakulangan ng suplay lalo na ang mga imported na isda, dahil kapag kunti ang suplay nito, posibleng apektado rito ang presyo.
