The Department of Health-CHD MIMAROPA officially disclosed information about the previously reported death of another Person Under Investigation (PUI) in the Province of Palawan was due to cardiovascular disease.

The said PUI succumbed at Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital (CSGH) on March 23, DOH-CHD MIMAROPA added.

The death of another patient was the second case in the Province of Palawan and the sixth case for the whole MIMAROPA Region.

Meanwhile, despite the rapid increase in the number of PUIs and the two confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region (in Palawan and in Marinduque), the DOH reiterated that there is still no local transmission reported in the region and they assured the public that they remain in their duty “to protect every Mimaropan.”
