National Police Chief Gen. Debold Sinas on a press briefing Monday, December 14, warned the public that partygoers or people who will be caught holding or going to parties this Christmas season will be arrested by authorities.
“Bawal ang party, yes of course,”Sinas tells media representatives when asked if partygoers this holiday season would be apprehended.
Sinas said he issued a directive to ground commanders to make sure no one would be caught violating health and safety protocols, deriving the statement from the guidelines issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-MEID).
However, according to the PNP Chief, dinner shall be allowed only when strict healthy protocols are observed.
“Ang dinner is party din ýan eh. But you have to observed required health protocols,” Sinas said.
Sinas himself draw outrage from the public after hosting a mañanita party as part of his birthday celebration last May despite strict enforcement of health protocol in the National Capital Region (NCR) amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
