The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday, September 1, recorded a total of 2,003,955 COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.
As of 4:00 pm today, DOH reported 14,216 additional active COVID-19 cases. 18,754 have been tagged as recovered while 86 have died.
Of the total number of recorded cases in the country, 7.0% or 140,949 are active cases. 91.3% or 1,829,473 has recovered, and the death toll has increased to 1.67% or 33,533.DOH said, 5 laboratories failed to submit data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS). Based on the data over the past 14 days, the contribution of these 5 labs were approximately 0.8% in all samples tested and 0.8% in all positive individuals.
DOH added that in the next few days, the COVID-19 infections may even increase.
