IPPF, nagsagawa ng Special Training Employment Program

Sumailalim ang mga Person Deprived of Liberty mula sa Minimum Security Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) sa Special Training Employment Program (STEP) na umabot ng 11 araw mula January 18-28, upang gumawa ng Organic Fertilizer (Leading to Organic Agriculture Production NCII).

Ang training ay inangunahan ng TESDA Trainers na si Cloie-Ann De Guzman at Aeirrah Alarcon sa Sta. Lucia Sub Colony.

Ayon kay Acting IPPF Superintendent CSUPT Joel R. Calvelo, maaring magamit ng mga PDL na sumailalim sa special training ang kanilang natutunan sa loob ng Iwahig  lalo na kung matapos na nila ang kanilang sentensya sa loob ng kulungan at sila ay malaya nang mamuhay sa labas.

Ang programa na ito ay sinusuportahan naman ng management ni Director General USEC Gerald Q. Bantag na tumulong sa mekanismo para sa ikauunlad ng mga PDL at magkaroon ng lakas at positibong pananaw sa buhay.
