To celebrate the JCI Week 2022, JCI Puerto Princesa Oil has launched 26 projects and activities on April 17-23, 2022, mostly at SM City Puerto Princesa.
Under the Knowledge, Unity, Leadership, Arts for the Youth or KULAY project umbrella, these projects aim to provide learning opportunities and community development initiatives among the young people in Palawan.
“As part of our Mission in JCI, we initiate activities in line with youth empowerment, support to MSMEs, environmental awareness, health and wellness, and initiatives for sustainability,” said Karl Dylan Aquino, 2022 Local Organization President of JCI Puerto Princesa Oil.
JCI Week 2022 is a week-long celebration of JCI projects that promote the JCI Values, Mission, and Vision towards a sustainable future led by young active citizens with the theme: Building Together, Stronger Together.
“We do these out of commitment, an oath we took to serve and fulfill our responsibilities for our collective effort to cause sustainable impact in our communities,” said Russell Fernandez, 2022 Skills Development Director of JCI Puerto Princesa Oil.
Free skills development opportunities for all interested youth started on April 17, 2022 at SM City Puerto Princesa. Here is the schedule:
April 17, 2022 (2PM) – Leadership Initiatives for Efficiency (L.I.F.E.)
April 18, 2022 (4PM) – Better Visuals: Mobile & Basic Photography Workshop
April 19, 2022 (4PM) – LIKHA (Creative Ideas): Writing & Visual Arts
April 20, 2022 (4PM) – IPON Conference: Personal Finance Management
April 21, 2022 (3PM) – HarBEST: Urban Farming Promotions (Mushroom Farming)
April 22, 2022 (10AM) – SAGIP: Basic Life Support
April 23, 2022 (10AM) – HarBEST: Urban Farming Promotions (Rabbit Raising)
April 23, 2022 (2PM) – SimpLEARN: SocMed Marketing for MSMEs
Other activities include the Summer Fun Zumba for Equality on April 22, 2022, 5PM at the Events Ground of SM City Puerto Princesa and Project Get IIT (Informed, Involved, Tested): HIV/AIDS Awareness & Screening at The Event Center of the said mall.
JCI Puerto Princesa Oil is one of the local members of a worldwide federation that provides development opportunities empowering young people to create positive change. It is one of the local chapters in Palawan that believe in reaching out to the local community to make positive changes through various activities.
