Nilagdaan kaninang umaga, Pebrero a-trese ang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ni Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron at Director III Gil Cesario Castro, ang Regional Director ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency o PDEA.

Napapaloob sa kasunduan na pinapayagan ng pamahalaang panlungsod na magamit ang pasilidad para sa City Crematory sa pagsira ng mga iligal na droga at mga expired o paso ng mga gamot na tinurn-over mula sa Philippine National Police, Regional Trial Courts, at iba pang government o pampribadong ahensiya.

 

Ginagawa ang pagsira o pagsunog sa mga ginamit na ebidensiya na nakabatay sa kautusan ng korte o utos mula sa matataas na opisyal ng gobyerno. Ito ay matapos na mapatunayang mga naging kasangkapan nga ng pagamit ng ipinagbabawal na gamot o mga gamot na hindi na pupwedeng pakinabangan.

 

Pagpapakita rin umano ito sa publiko na sinsero ang PDEA o ang gobyerno na puksain na nang tuluyan ang paggamit at pagbebenta ng iligal na droga at ilan pang kaakibat na usapin na nire-recycle ang mga ito.

 

Patuloy rin umano ang magandang ugnayan ng PDEA sa iba pang ahensya ng pamahalaan para masawata ang mga indibidwal na nasasangkot sa iligal na droga lalo na ang mga taong kinasangkapan ang iilan para sa pansariling interes.
