Some 300 barangay officials consisting of ABC presidents, barangay treasurers and secretaries on Thursday, March 24, convened at the Capitol Grounds to claim P300,000 in cash aid per barangay from the Provincial Government of Palawan to support their COVID-19 efforts.

The barangays included in the distribution were from the towns of Aborlan, Brooke’s Point, Sofroñio Española, Rizal, Balabac, Roxas, Dumaran, El Nido, Taytay, Kalayaan and San Vicente.

Cagayancillo, however, has already received its aid on Wednesday while Busuanga just claimed its assistance today, March 25.

A total of P48 million cash aid was distributed this week.

The distribution signifies the success of a resolution authored by Palawan Liga ng mga Barangay President Board Member Ferdinand Zaballa, who initiatively requested for the said Barangay Aid to the Provincial Government which was recently approved by Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez.
