Brooke’s Point extends GCQ until October 6

The LGU of Brooke’s Point Palawan announced today, September 21, 2021, the extension of the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in their municipality.

According to their social media post, the MHO can still see a trend in COVID-19 cases thus prompting the Municipal IATF to extend the quarantine classification being implemented.

“Bagama’t bumagal ng kaunti ang pagdami ng mga kaso ng COVID cases sa Bayan ng Brooke’s Point, patuloy parin ang trend, na talagang nakakabahala ayon kay Dr. Lovelyn R. Sotoza, Municipal Health Officer. Dahil dito nagkaroon ng unanimous decision, sa kanilang regular meeting ngayong araw, ang mga miyembro ng Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF) na i-extend ang implementasyon ng GCQ sa ating bayan,” as stated on their social media page.

Furthermore, the local government will be more strict in imposing the minimum public health standards and the protocols under GCQ to help stop the increase of cases of COVID-19.

Base on PDRRMO Palawan, as of September 20, 2021, current active cases in Brooke’s point is at 201 where 116 are RT-PCR confirmed while 85 are Antigen Reactive. They have also logged a total of 590 recoveries and 17 deaths, which brings their total recorded cases to 808.
