Manila Cathedral confirmed that Archbishop Jose F. Cardinal Advincula will lead the installation of His Excellency Most Reverend Broderick S. Pabillo as the new Vicar Apostolic of Taytay, Palawan.
The Canonical Possession and Rite of Installation will be held on August 19, 2021, 9:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral in the said municipality.
“The date of installation is made significant by these events: it is the feast day of St. Ezequiel Moreno, the Augustinian Recollect missionary and saint who served in Palawan, and also the 15th episcopal anniversary of Bishop Pabillo.” the Manila Cathedral said in a Facebook post, July 20.
The celebration will be broadcasted LIVE on Manila Cathedral Facebook page and YouTube channel, and in TV Maria cable channels and TV media box channels.
It will be recalled that on June 29, Pope Francis appointed Pabillo as vicar of Taytay, Palawan. He replaced Bishop Edgardo Juanich who resigned in 2018 due to health reasons.
Pabillo has been serving as Manila Auxiliary Bishop since 2006. On 1982, he was a priest at St. Ezequiel Moreno Parish in Puerto Princesa City.
